Saturday, July 15, NYC: With Tom Curley (left), president and CEO The Associated Press, and Sandeep Junnarkar, Awards Committee Chair (right) presented me the Outstanding editorial/op-ed/commentary Award (first place) at this year's annual South Asian Journalists' Association (SAJA) convention in New York City.
SAJA is a forum of North-American journalists of South-Asian descent or journalists writing on South Asian affairs, a great way of professional networking. Attended several enlightening sessions, and with several Nepali journalists participating, Nepal's presence this year was visibly impressive!
